XORTX Therapeutics, Inc. is a biopharmaceutical company. The company is working to advance products that target aberrant purine metabolism and xanthine oxidase to decrease or inhibit the production of uric acid. The XRx-026 program is designed to decrease the chronically high serum uric acid concentration in the blood (SUA) by inhibiting the production of uric acid by the xanthine oxidase enzyme by administering a xanthine oxidase inhibitor-oxypurinol.
