CUSP Wealth launches Halal Returns on Cash: a Shariah-compliant programme that puts uninvested cash to work, earning up to 2.50% in indicative annual returns.
There is a problem most investors don't notice until someone points it out: the cash sitting in your investment account isn't doing anything.
It isn't invested. It isn't earning. It's waiting, and while it waits, it loses ground to inflation quietly, consistently and can be easily avoided.
For Muslim investors, the problem has historically been compounded by a second layer: most cash-earning programmes are interest-based, making them off-limits entirely. The choice has been between earning something impermissible and earning nothing at all.
CUSP Wealth has introduced a third option.
Halal Returns on Cash is a new feature on the CUSP Wealth platform that allows users to put their uninvested cash balance to work in a Shariah-compliant way: earning up to 2.50% in indicative annual returns.
The programme is certified halal by CUSP Wealth's independent Shariah Supervisory Board via a Fatwa. Funds are deposited with University Bank and invested by UIF Corporation through two Shariah-compliant structures: Murabaha, a cost-plus property financing mechanism, and Ijara, a lease-based vehicle financing structure.
Funds are insured up to $250,000 by the FDIC and available for withdrawal at any time.*
"Uninvested cash is one of the most overlooked inefficiencies in retail investing," said Ramesh Murthy, Senior Executive Officer of CUSP Wealth. "For Muslim investors specifically, it has always come with an additional constraint: earning on cash meant earning interest, which simply wasn't an option. Halal Returns on Cash removes that constraint entirely."
*This FDIC protection applies in the event of bank failure.
Halal Returns on Cash was designed with a specific reality in mind: investors don't always have their cash deployed. They hold cash while waiting for the right moment to invest, saving toward a specific goal, or simply keeping funds available for opportunities. In all of those situations, that cash has historically sat idle.
"The feature takes less than sixty seconds to enable," said Fedor Panteleev, Chief Product Officer of Denara Group who is serving CUSP Wealth. "Once it's on, your uninvested cash earns from day one, without changing how you invest, without locking your funds, and without compromising on compliance."
Halal Returns on Cash applies to cash held going forward once enabled. Existing balances remain as-is until the feature is activated.
For Muslim investors who have spent years accepting that idle cash was simply the cost of staying compliant, Halal Returns on Cash is the answer that should have existed years ago.
Cusp Wealth Ltd is regulated by the Dubai Financial Services Authority (DFSA) and available with a $50 deposit and portfolio advisory fees of 0.75% annually.
